Jaycee Park

A large community park along the Mildura riverfront offering playgrounds, shaded barbecue areas and public toilets on site for residents and visitors.

That’s Jaycee Park!


Nowingi Place

Nowingi Place is good for kids. Fantastic riverfront location with state of the art Sound Shell perfect for concerts and community events. Loads of wide open areas for family picnics and barbeques, plus great playground equipment for kids. Sound Shell is available for hire through Mildura Rural City Council.


Lock 11 Mildura Weir

Mildura Weir and Lock 11 are unique by being the only site on the River Murray where the lock and weir are separated by an island. The 15 ha of bushland on the island provides a habitat for native animals and is a popular tourism site.

It is a great place to visit, and have a picnic. You get to sit and relax while taking a drive up and down the river seeing all the sights!


Apex RiverBeach Holiday Park

Apex RiverBeach Holiday Park is on the banks of the Murray River and only 4km from the town centre of Mildura making it the perfect base to explore Mildura, Wentworth and Robinvale. Offers accommodation with free WiFi, a children's playground, a garden and free private parking. An ideal location for fishing, swimming, bird watching, or bush walking.

They are at the end of the road meaning there is no passing traffic, along with the relaxed atmosphere; it makes for the perfect getaway. Amenities are clean, with spacious showers too!


Henderson Park

The main War Memorial for Mildura is located here and it has great surroundings.

Kings Billabong Park

A nice spot to enjoy nature. A variety of wildlife can be found here including Pelicans, ducks, swans There are park benches along the track to rest, take in the view or have a picnic.Only a few kilometres out of town and you are in wonderful bushland where there are numerous walks you can do, areas to park and camp.

James King Park

James King Park has a sandbar that allows you to walk into the Murray river.

Good place to visit to get fresh air and a fantastic view of Murray river with great facilities. You can also feed the ducks and swans.


Merbein Common

Merbein Common is a free camping area and has fishing spots at or near the campsite. This site is accessible by caravans in good weather.


Blandowski Walk

The 46 metre staircase popularly known as Blandowski Walk was constructed from recycled-plastic signage, furniture, and Enduroplank decking with a composite fibre sub-structure, offering exquisite views over the surrounding cliffs.


Junction Park

Junction Park is a beautiful place with amazing views and a well maintained picnic area.


Australian Inland Botanic Gardens

A prime example of what community spirit can achieve is on display at the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens. As the first semi-arid botanical gardens in the southern hemisphere, this is where the desert really comes into bloom. The plantings showcase a wide variety of Australian and exotic species, the centrepiece of which may be the rose garden featuring over 1600 colour co-ordinated bushes.


Every Saturday at 11am visitors can enjoy a tractor/train tour through the gardens.

It is open daily and visitors can relax over morning or afternoon tea, or a light lunch.

The Gardens are open to the public everyday from 10.00am – 4.30pm.

Barclay Square

Barclay Square is a community park in the heart of Red Cliffs, offering shady trees and a playground for residents and visitors.
